important update about People’s Peace Summit

This is not just another message – it’s an important update and a look behind the scenes. Please read until the end.
Preparations for the People’s Peace Summit 2026 began after the ceasefire in Gaza.
The war had paused. No more hostages in Gaza, no more dozens killed each day. Humanitarian aid began to flow, and the sirens inside Israel stopped.
It was clear the situation was still fragile, that we were far from a sustainable solution – but it became possible to breathe again.
And when there was so much to repair, rebuild, and restore, there was no time to lose.
We set the date of the summit for April 30th.
Then, on February 28, Israel and the United States entered yet another war – a war within a war within a war. This time with Iran, and then also with Lebanon.
Once again, we are running to shelters. Once again, destruction and loss. Once again, massive reserve mobilization.
And under the cover of war, Jewish terror in the West Bank is escalating, advancing displacement and annexation, while Gaza disappears from the headlines.
Once again, it is hard to breathe.

We paused to ask: should we postpone the summit? Between sirens, we held meetings, Zoom calls, and constant reassessments – and we decided to move forward as planned, because this moment makes the need for it even more urgent.

We don’t know whether, on April 30, there will still be war with Iran, or whether Lebanon will be burning. We don’t know how much more blood will be spilled by then.

But one thing is clear: we cannot go on like this. We cannot normalize life under endless war and believe that another war will bring security.
Living should not be a luxury — and neither should sleeping through the night, sending children to school, or making plans that actually happen. Breathing.

As far as it is within our power, on April 30th we will come together at the People’s Peace Summit.
We will demand a different reality. A different policy. A different future. We will call for political agreements and regional stability.

We will insist on hope – even, and especially, when it feels most difficult.
