We gathered yesterday evening to demonstrate against the war, against the American-backed Israeli aggression in Iran and the invasion of Lebanon, against the ongoing oppression and murder in the West Bank and Gaza. This is the fifth week in a row we have been standing,
yesterday in over twenty locations with thousands of protesters across the country.
Police repression is also increasing. Hundreds of police officers and border police were waiting at the demonstration yesterday in Tel Aviv. They violently dispersed the protesters using force, horses, and by arresting 17 protesters.
I was arrested as well by the police after they violently pushed us out of the area where we were protesting: they handcuffed me and led me to the prisoner transport bus. After a long time waiting on the bus, with more and more detainees being added, there was a pre-alert for missiles.
The policeman said that on orders from above, they would not allow us to go to a protected area during a missile attack, even though we were next to the one of the biggest shelters in the city. after we begged, they took us to an unprotected lobby of a building.
The evening ended with the dispersal of all the protesters and, after a few hours, the release of all detainees.
We will not stop here of course. More in the next days.
