On 7 November, people and teams from different countries will meet to shape the actions for 2027 and open up new ways to participate
We are living through a time when violence, dehumanization and the breakdown of bonds are affecting everyday life with increasing force. We see them in international conflicts, but also in families, schools, social relationships and the uncertainty that particularly affects younger generations.
In this situation, education cannot be limited to transmitting knowledge or preparing people to adapt to a world that deepens individualism, competition and disconnection. We need an education that helps every human being recognize their own intentionality, find meaning, unfold their best qualities and build supportive, nonviolent relationships.
With this aspiration, the 2nd COPEHU International Online Meeting will take place on Saturday, 7 November. COPEHU is the Universalist Humanist Pedagogical Current. The meeting will be an open space to reconnect, recognize what is growing in different places and collectively shape the actions for 2027.
We are not arriving with a closed program. We want to build a shared agenda from the experiences, needs, proposals and real possibilities of those who take part.
A pedagogical current cannot be built by just a few people: it grows when many perspectives, forms of knowledge, experiences and virtues converge in a shared direction—humanizing education.
A current we build together
COPEHU is not intended only for teachers or specialists. Education takes place in many settings and is a shared responsibility.
That is why families, mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, students, educators, researchers, and professionals from every field are invited to place their knowledge, abilities and virtues at the service of humanizing education.
There are many ways to participate: collaborate on an activity, join a learning space or a local team, share an experience, use and disseminate materials, or contribute through communication, translation, research, technology, art or the systematization of experiences.
Each person can offer the time they have available and contribute through what they do best. What matters is that this contribution finds a shared space and a humanizing direction.
Some people know how to communicate, conduct research, support groups, write, translate, create images, organize meetings or open doors in schools, universities and communities. Others can listen, care for the human atmosphere, build connections or help newcomers find their place.
Every virtue can become a contribution. Every contribution can open a path.
An agenda to build together
During the meeting, we will share some initial lines of work. These will not be decisions already made, but open proposals that need to be enriched and taken forward by people willing to promote them.
The main topics we will address include:
- ongoing, reciprocal international training on the Pedagogy of Intentionality, Intentional Learning, Experiential Methodology and COPEHU tools;
- regular exchanges among people, teams and countries to share experiences, learning, difficulties and needs;
- the possible revival of the COPEHU International Meetings “Towards a Humanizing Education,” in person, online or in hybrid formats;
- strengthening international communication, the website, social networks, Pressenza, translations and the production of materials;
- support for those who want to promote local teams or experiences but do not yet have other people nearby;
- research and the systematization of experiences, so that COPEHU’s learning and projects can be shared and taken up by future generations.
The final agenda will be built during the meeting itself. We want to hear what is happening in each place, what proposals are emerging and what each person can concretely take on.
This is a time to come together and converge around what unites us. Humanizing education will not be the work of one person, one organization or a small group, but the result of a collective, diverse and sustained endeavor.
If you feel that something must be done in the face of violence and dehumanization, if you want to contribute to another way of educating or discover where you can help, this meeting is also for you.
Everyone is welcome. Every virtue counts. The time to build together is now.
