America Has To Make a Choice

The Choice Between Two Systems of Governance

Considering the unsteady quality of most corporate, ie: “mainstream” journalism these days, many people in the Collective West, in the US, Australia, Canada and much of Europe, aren’t aware of the immense changes that have taken place in the world over the course of the past three and ½ years. I’ve spent the better part of the last four years collecting information from inside and outside of the Western media sphere. At this point I believe I can comfortably sum up the crucial choice that America is now faced with.

In short, the US is in the process of choosing between two systems of governance. America will either continue to attempt to enforce its hegemony as a finance-based imperialist power or it will opt to transition and return to being an industrial power that operates in concert with other industrially oriented nations like China, India, Russia, etc.

OPTION A: The US Could Attempt To Continue Its Reign As The World’s Sole Imperial Hegemonic Power:

The current phase of the US’ imperialist project was best synthesized in a speech by George Bush Jr. in 2001 just as the “Coalition of the Willing” was beginning to form in order to attack Iraq and Afghanistan. In November of that year Bush Jr. announced to the world, “From this point on, you’re either with us or against us”.(1) If the US opts to continue along the lines it has been following over the course of the last 24 years, a course consisting of continual eastward NATO expansion toward Russia, forced regime changes and perpetual wars against any and all countries that don’t comply with the Collective Western allies’ still operating 21st century aim to convert the world to neoliberal democracy by force, then the US will have to go to war with China, Russia and a fair portion of the rest of the Global South within the next year or two.(2)

In fact, this is precisely what European leaders like Keir Starmer, Friedrich Merz, Emmanuel Macron and Ursulla van der Layen are currently pushing for in their refusal to recognize the fact that Russia is just a few months away from completing its Special Military Operation in Ukraine.(3) These European leaders goal, along with US political figures like Lindsey Graham, Victoria Nuland, Liz and Dick Cheney, Mitch McConnell and many other hawkish donor-dependent US political figures from both major political parties, is to continue the war in Ukraine and to extend it in order to provoke a direct confrontation between the US/NATO and Russia (and later China).(4)

Three, arguably four, of the 21st century US presidential administrations that were in power up until the end of 2024, have all proceeded along the same foreign policy line with the same objective in mind – to fulfill the aims outlined in the infamous neoconservative tome, “The Wolfowitz Doctrine” which was written in the early 1990s. The Wolfowitz Doctrine laid out a strategy to complete the project of total US global rule via the use of military force. What Wolfowitz and his neoconservative cohorts didn’t anticipate, among other things, was the defeat of NATO by Russia in Ukraine and the relatively quick rise of China as the world’s number one economic power.

When it became clear that Ukraine was going to eventually lose the war with Russia, several dozen countries began a “bolt to BRICS” between late 2022 and early/mid 2024. For more information about BRICS click the link at citation number (5) below.

This “bolt to BRICS” between 2022 and 2024 combined with the all encompassing economic and military alignment of China with Russia that took place just before the current stage of the conflict war in Ukraine began in February of 2022, completely changed the conditions that make up the global power order.(7) In fact, as of the current moment, the economic and military advantages reside with China, Russia and the Global South. Let’s be frank here, if Europe and the US continue along the imperialist path they’ve been following these last few decades a World War (and possibly a nuclear war) is, almost by definition, a certainty.

Geopolitically speaking, the Collective West’s huge gamble of hundreds of billions of dollars on the success of “Project Ukraine” has completely boomeranged. Instead of generating a regime change in Russia (which has been the US/NATO’s plan since the mid/late 2000s) and gaining access to Ukraine and Russia’s combined 100 trillion dollars worth of natural resources, the US and its European allies have ended up putting the final nails in the unipolar world order’s coffin. In fact, as of late 2022 the world has been moving exponentially toward multipolarity.(7a),(7b),(7c)

OPTION B – The US Could Shift Toward Re-Industrialization and Cooperation With The Global South:

Despite what many deeply mistaken Western media outlets have been reporting, the last thing that China and Russia want right now is more war in the coming years. Nor is either country interested in imperialist expansion or extending its geographical borders beyond what is eventually settled on in Ukraine. This doesn’t mean they won’t fight a war if it’s brought to their doorstep, but they absolutely do not want a war with the US to happen. Even from a purely tactical point of view, China, Russia and the rest of BRICS are well on their way in the process of creating a global peace-centered economic revolution within which they are the forerunners. They absolutely do not want a world war to erupt.(8) It wouldn’t make any sense in their case. Not that it would make sense in any other case, but alas, here we are.

I realize that some of what has been said so far might be difficult to accept for many people reading this right now, being that we’ve been conditioned to view geopolitics almost solely in terms of conquerors and conquest. And when it comes to countries like China and Russia and their leaders, we’ve been continually taught to believe that they also only think in terms of conquest. When we read or hear things to the contrary about these countries, many of us automatically label it Russian or Chinese propaganda. I know this because I was someone who, up until quite recently, had fairly fixed ideas about what these countries’ aims were, quite a few of which were dead wrong.

In fact, believe it or not, China and Russia are eager to include the US in their plan to unite nations from inside and outside the Global South in a mutually beneficial partnership where peace and parallel growth are the priority.(9) As opposed to the currently collapsing global power dynamic that demands every country in the world be subservient to the US/NATO.

Regarding the project of reindustrialization in the US, using common sense, don’t you think we’d be better served undertaking such a project operating as partners rather than as mortal enemies of every nation that doesn’t acknowledge our now rapidly waning hegemonic status? Add to this the fact that right now the US is dependent on other countries, some of them from the Global South, for the resources necessary to domestically re-industrialize. Obviously option B is the only coherent, sane future course of action at this point in time.

In Reality, There’s Only One Sane Choice

The choice is, in fact, simple. What elitist neocons like Lindsey Graham, John Bolton, Hillary Clinton, Keir Starmer, Friedrich Merz and Emmanuel Macron want and have wanted for over 2 decades now is simply impossible at this point. They want the US and NATO to go to war with Russia, China and every other country in the world that doesn’t acknowledge US dominance. Picture 10s of millions of corpses, at a bare minimum, strewn about various continents if a third world war breaks out. Astonishingly, this commitment to starting a third world war is the residing plan of action among Europe’s most currently prominent neocon-adherent leaders as well as among the donor-owned guard in the Democrat and Republican parties here in the US.

The neoconservative imperialist dream that took root in the 1990s of a forever US dominated Unipolar world is over whether we like it or not.(10) We will either commit to peace and cooperation with our brothers and sisters in the Global South or we will commit to world destruction. Our options are plain and simple, there’s no mystery about any of it at this point.

In Closing

In a future article I will go into detail about what the current presidential administration is and isn’t doing in terms of transitioning the US into alignment with the new, now undeniable multipolar world order. I’ll also speak about what appears to be the collapse of a 500 year period of Western imperialism and what this will mean as we move forward in this, the 21st century.
