Conversations with Satyam is a monthly online series that brings voices from the ground into dialogue about current realities in Israel/Palestine for a global audience.
This month, Wednesday, July 29, Satyam Homeland welcomes Tarek Maassarani, peace and justice practitioner, educator, and internationally recognized trainer in Restorative Justice and Nonviolent Communication, for a powerful live conversation on what justice looks like in a world witnessing relentless violence.

Born into a Jewish–Muslim family with roots in Haifa, Tripoli, and Washington, D.C., Tarek Maassarani brings both a deeply personal connection to this region and decades of experience supporting communities through conflict, division, and transformation.
In times like these, restorative justice is often dismissed as unrealistic. Satyam Homeland believes: it is precisely in moments of profound harm that we must ask the hardest questions about justice, accountability, dignity, and the possibility of repair.
This conversation is an invitation to think more deeply, challenge assumptions, and imagine what justice could mean in a world shaped by violence.
Satyam Homeland is a local and international community rooted in the Occupied West Bank. At a time when fear, violence, and separation increasingly shape daily life, Palestinians, Israelis, and internationals come together there to sustain human connection, engage difficult realities, and explore paths of nonviolent action and shared responsibility.
Through this series, Satyam Homeland offers a space to listen, learn, and reflect on current realities through direct encounters with people living and working within them.
