The Davids Campaign invites the public, peace advocates, and members of the media to join an international dialogue titled “A Global Call for Nonviolent Renewal in the Middle East”, taking place on Thursday, November 20, at 6 PM at the Rosa Luxemburg Office, 275 Madison Avenue, Suite 2114, New York, NY 10016.
The event will be moderated by Mariana Fernandez of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung and will feature Ambassador Lina Arafat and Sharon Dolev from the Middle East Treaty Organization (METO), alongside David Andersson, coordinator of The Davids Campaign and editor at Pressenza International Press Agency.
This gathering aims to explore practical pathways toward resolving conflicts in the Middle East through nonviolent and inclusive approaches. The discussion will introduce METO’s regional framework for sustainable peace and examine how civil society—both local and global—can move from ideas to coordinated action.
Participants will reflect on how solidarity, structured collaboration, and shared campaigns can help build a foundation for a just and lasting peace in the region.
“Now is the moment to give the Middle East what it truly deserves: the chance to become the birthplace of a new society,” said David Andersson. “This is a matter of reciprocity. For millennia, the Middle East has given so much to humanity — from algebra to foundational civilizations.”
